Great Nightlife in Heyday & Shake
EARTH Water would like to bring you back in time with these nostalgic live music venues: Heyday and Shake.
Heyday Vintage Jazz Lounge
Address: 50 Tai'an Lu, near Xingguo Lu
Heyday was inspired by the golden age of Shanghai, a time when Shanghai’s jazz scene and nightlife were internationally renowned. It was a time of elegance, glamour, and a touch of decadence. It is designed to be a complete experience, a place where you can see some of the best music and enjoy a great atmosphere with a craft cocktail.
Social Media:
'Heyday has been named Best Live Music Venue by That’s Shanghai, Time Out, and Shanghai Wow! magazines and has been featured in stories by Travel & Leisure, Time Out, Luxe City Guides, City Weekend, Shanghai Wow, and a host of local Shanghai media channels.'
Shake Club
Address: 3/F, 46 Maoming Nan Lu
From the people behind Heyday, Shake is a retro-chic 1960s Manhattan style supper club offering a full restaurant and featuring classic soul music. Shake's dinner menu features fusion dishes created by Danyi Gao (previously of Mr. & Mrs. Bund and Calypso). Drinks are made by Colin Tait, former bar manager of Vesper in Bangkok.
Social Media:
'Shake takes the best things of a night out and rolls them into one space: food, excellent cocktails, and a smashing live band.' —— City Weekend
'Shake has become a buzzing venue and filled a genre gap in the city’s music scene with its regular live performances of classic soul music.' —— Time Out Shanghai
