Honestly one of the best Thai choices in the city, Urban Thai is a nice place with very cool decor. The food is down to earth, simple, and authentic, coupled with good service.

 

3. Kappo Yu

 

Concealed behind an unassuming red door on Wuxing Lu, Kappo Yu is an exquisite Japanese restaurant. The menu is made up of delicate dishes perfectly considered to balance flavours, textures and even temperatures.

 

4. Yue 6

 

A fancy Bund-view restaurant with ornate interiors in a red, black and gold scheme serving seafood, steaks and grilled meats. They also have a bar area and have regular oyster deals.

 

5. The Apartment

 

The Apartment is in the converted warehouse complex on Yongfu Lu. The rooftop upstairs patio is nice and spacious, open-air, also New York-ish, serviced by it own bar and a pizza kitchen.
