Timothy Watt

Timothy Watt was born into a musical, jazz-orientated family, before finding house at 15 years old. Early DJ gigs went well, so Timothy took the step to promoting his own nights, coming up with the Deepheat concept. This movement brings the finest deep & soulful house music provided by himself, Roog & Greg van Bueren as well as international artists such as Simon Dunmore, Hardsoul, Jojo Flores, Mr. V., Sergio Flores, Danny Marquez, Ralph Gum, Hideo Kobayashi, Boddhi Satva, Justin Michael, Studio Apartment, DJ Fudge, Daniel Bovie & Roy Rox, Justin Michael & Kelly Marie. It takes place at Amsterdam’s most intimate and plush venue, Club NL. As a DJ Timothy Watt is renowned for deep and sophisticated DJ sets, a true blend between old, new, deep, tech and soulful house-music.

Nowadays, Timothy is working hard in the studio, having teamed up with the commercially-viable House Jugglers for some productions in 2010. This year, however, saw Timothy go his own way, alongside experienced producer Farshad Kay. Inspirational tracks such as  “I Got Something” and “PHNK” have rapidly turned into floorfillers after being circulated among the top DJs only. Now both tracks have received full releases on James Nidecker’s Strom Recordings, enjoying full and extended personal support from Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Steve Lawler, Fedde Le Grand, Hermanez, Firebeats, Paco Osuna, Sidney Samson, Landmark, Superchumbo, John Selway, Mark Knight, Nihad Tule and Remy. What a great start to a potentially huge studio career for the talented youngster from Amsterdam.

Timothy continues to DJ all over Holland, in demand due to his quality house sets and consistent performances at clubs large and small. Recently, Timothy has been booked for the prestigious Sensation event in the giant Amsterdam Arena, and also at ID&T’s sellout Mysteryland festival. These high-profile events will push this rising star into the public’s consciousness even more as summer approaches.

As Timothy’s love affair with music continues to grow, expect his DJ career to blossom further internationally, and for his forthcoming cutting-edge and upfront productions to explode into the summer of 2011. Timothy Watt really is a star in the making; do not miss your chance to book this guy in your club for an unforgettable show, or check out one of his sets first hand at a festival or beach party near you. Stay tuned for a plethora of slamming new material that will propel one of Amsterdam’s new school house heroes to the next level.
